Provision mail domains and user mailboxes with controlled quotas and authentication.
Mail domains
A hosted mail domain identifies a domain for which JKMail accepts and stores mailbox delivery. Create the domain before provisioning its mailboxes.
Mailbox provisioning
- Create or activate the hosted mail domain.
- Create the mailbox address.
- Assign an appropriate storage quota.
- Set a strong mailbox password.
- Confirm authentication.
- Test local or external delivery.
- Configure the user's IMAP/webmail access.
Mailbox status
Disable mailboxes that should no longer authenticate rather than leaving unused accounts indefinitely active.
Quota planning
Mailbox quotas should reflect the subscribed service plan and available physical storage. Monitor aggregate storage use in addition to individual quotas.
