Server requirements

JKPanel Server is designed for a dedicated Linux server or VPS where it can control the web-hosting stack. A clean server is recommended for a new production installation.

• 64-bit Linux server environment.
• Root or equivalent administrative access during installation.
• Public IPv4 connectivity and working DNS.
• Storage and memory sized for the number and workload of hosted websites.
• Ports required for enabled hosting services must be permitted by the provider firewall.

Core platform

The current JKPanel Server platform operates with Nginx, PHP-FPM, MariaDB, Redis and supporting hosting services. Optional mail functionality depends on the mail services enabled for the deployment.

Before installation

Prepare the server hostname, management-domain DNS record and a valid administrative email address. Avoid installing a competing hosting control panel on the same server.
