Credential security
Merchant secret keys, webhook secrets and API credentials belong to the merchant. Configure them after installation and never publish them in screenshots, documentation or distributable module packages.
Before live payments
- Configure the merchant account.
- Use provider sandbox/test mode where available.
- Test successful payment.
- Test failure/cancellation.
- Test callback or webhook processing where used.
- Confirm invoice/payment state remains consistent.
- Only then enable live mode.
